Pan One Direction:
Pans the map in the direction selected
Pan:
Pans the map as the user drags the pointer across the map.
Zoom In:
Zooms in on the map at any user selected position. The user can also drag the pointer across the map, creating a rectangular area to zoom in on.
Zoom Out:
Zooms out on the map at any user selected position.
Zoom to Full Extent:
Zooms to the full extent of the map.
Previous Extent:
Zooms to the last previous extent. Inactive until user changes extents.
Zoom Active Layer:
Zooms to the extent of the active layer.

Toggle Query Tools:
Toggles the Query Toolbar in the Table of Contents.
Toggle Map Tools:
Toggles the Map Toolbar in the Table of Contents.
Links:
Displays the ABAG GIS Links page, where you will find a list of links to other GIS related web sites.
Help Page:
Displays the ABAG GIS Help Page.


Available Layers:
Selecting this tool will toggle the layer list on, allowing the user to choose which available layers will be visible. The user can also choose an active layer from which all query functions will be processed. Once all selections have been made, the user must select the "Refresh Map" button at the bottom of the page in order to draw the selected layers on the map.
Q u e r y   T o o l s

Identify:
Displays a listing of attributes for all features at the users identified location.
Find Address :
Allows the user to locate a street address or the nearest intersection of interest.
Search:
Searches the active layer for user defined input.
Query Builder:
Allows the user to construct queries on the active layer in the map theme. The result of the queries are selected and highlighted in the map view.
Clear All Selections:
Deselects features and graphics from the current selection.

Attributes:
Allows the user to view the selected features "available" attribute information. Before this tool can be used, the user must first select features from the active layer.
M a p   T o o l s
Select by Rectangle:
Allows the user to select items in the active layer of the map. To set the active layer, the user must first press the layers button to show the available layers for the map. Once the user has selected items, the user can perform other actions on the selection such as creating buffers or displaying the items attribute information.

Create Buffer:
This tool allows the user to create a buffer zone around features that have been selected using the select features tool (above). The size of the buffer is determined by user input.
Clear All Selections:
Deselects features and graphics from the current selection.
Show Map Legend:
Opens a new window showing the map legend.
Print Map:
Prints the map to the user's default printer.

In order to print a map, you must either turn off the web browser pop-up blocker(s) or add gis.abag.ca.gov as a trusted site! Consult the help feature for your web browser, or third-party toolbar, to determine how to change the setting. ABAG does not provide support for browser, and browser related, programs/applications.
