Abstract:
This feature set contains the Priority Development Areas (PDA) used by the Association of Bay Area Governments (ABAG) to plan for development in the San Francisco Bay Region. PDAs represent areas local jurisdictions have identified, as part of ABAG's Sustainable Communities Strategy work, for new and/or intensified development.This PDA feature set is limited to use in general mapping and analysis related to the San Francisco Bay Region.DO NOT USE this feature set for mapping and analysis related to Plan Bay Area. Plan Bay Area specific PDAs are available in a separate feature set.

Purpose:
This Priority Development Area feature set contains changes made by jurisdictions after the adoption of Plan Bay Area in July of 2013. This feature set is current as of February 2016.

The PDA add & update January-July 2015 update period closed with a total of 49 change requests. The changes are broken into three main types (removal of PDA overlaps, general boundary change, and transfer of PDA from multi-jurisdiction agencies to jurisdiction responsible for land use decisions) and one sub-type (some jurisdictions did not want PDA segment transferred to them from multi-jurisdiction agency so PDA was removed from feature set).

Boundary update to remove overlap between PDAs (6 updates):

3) Santa Rosa - Downtown Station Area, Mendocino Avenue/Santa Rosa Avenue Corridor, Sebastopol Road Corridor, and Roseland

2) Brisbane - San Francisco/San Mateo Bi-County Area
